- Stay active: getting out and about for a walk even after a long day will help with any lingering fatigue and will help you get a good nights sleep.
- Pack snacks: I have basically been hungry my entire pregnancy, mostly for snacks not large meals. It can still be tricky to find food that you can eat while travelling so always handy to have a few snacks on board to keep your energy levels up.
- Embrace the stretchy clothes: I resisted maternity clothes until about 18-22 weeks. I was in my regular jeans with a belly band until 22 weeks, but after that point I really needed to move onto maternity clothes! Wear something comfortable for flights. Tight isn't always a bad thing, people are very nice to pregnant ladies!
- Hydrate: air travel and staying in hotels can be very tiring, mainly due to the lack of oxygen! Make sure you keep that bub nice and moist! I also found it helped with keeping me active on longer flights and long days because I had to get up to use the bathroom all the time!
In general, I found the second trimester to be far and away the best time to travel - you are pregnant enough that you look pregnant, but still feel great!
