This week was a little less intense in terms of workouts, only 5 sessions this week. So not bad, but definitely some room for some improvement. Particularly as my running has fallen a little short after my January Goals.
A great workout with burpee pull ups, what a cruel and unusual punishment those things are! A super early morning workout, which I am starting to like more and more.
Early flight over to Perth meant that I passed out well and truly by about 7:30pm so I was not in the mood for a workout. Was planning this as a rest day anyway.
Early morning run along the river in Perth. It was a beautiful morning and I have to say, the hotel that I stay at in Perth definitely knows how to do exercise - they have this set up in the lobby every morning, love it!
I absolutely love being able to make my own breakfast, particularly when I can have an entire punnet of blueberries on my breakfast!
Another trip along the river in Perth for a walk. Not bad pace for a walk.
Fitness test today. I ended up having to go up a level because I did the last level under 17 minutes. So I was up to level 3 and managed to smash it out in 20:25. Apparently first time at a new level is 22-24 minutes so pretty happy with that! The run sections were tough though, after box jumps, squat jumps, rowing and step ups I was already pretty shattered so I struggled but made it through!
Headed up to the gym again to do a workout. We started withal group challenge:
40 mountain climbers
Each round we added 1 push-up and did the round on the minute. We made it to 15 push-ups, so 10 rounds!
Then it was plank challenge time. After all those push-ups and mountain climbers, my
Originally we were going to do this pyramid workout but we ended up only doing one round of 10 reps of these (I chose 8kg dumbells).
I haven't been feeling well lately. I think my iron levels might be low? I don't know but I'm tired all the time... Going to need to go see the doctor. So Marcus headed out for a morning swim without me for Australia Day. I ended up resting and having a 3 hour nap... As one does.
Big news for the blog though, I am heading over to Seoul, Korea for the whole month of February. Whilst I am excited for the opportunity, I am also a little nervous. Shouldn't be too many interruptions to the regular posting schedule but there might be some interesting things that I get up to in Seoul. Of course that will be when I am not freezing my butt off.
