Weekly workouts are here again, I had a pretty good week this week. My work travel schedule has really been pared back and I am able to really get some routine going. I am still loving cycling and so I wouldn't mind getting some more action on that area next week.
Monday boxing and this time I actually snapped a picture! Getting a little arty with the pads, but not really. Lots of squats and abs in this session, just what I needed.
Yoga time, which was a new class for me. I have been doing the Wednesday lunch time classes but instead this week I went with an early morning class with a different instructor. This was - I can only assume - wall yoga. Everyone had to be against the wall, so that we could use it for handstands, holding on to and all manner of other things. I'm not sure I was on board with the partner stretching though - I am not about the touchy-feely when at the gym.
Love a morning ride session with Liz, we headed out to Centennial Park. Brave Liz rode her bike from home, but I typically drove over. The city is bat-shit scary! The park had a section closed, so we headed up the hill, through the middle, around the loop. It was a good little mix up. I have officially ordered a Nero racing kit - so look forward to much more lycra around these parts.
Morning walk with Marcus ended up being a little slow, but not too bad. It was an overcast day with a little rain. It is nice to get out for a walk and get lots of steps in though!
Friday and Saturday were a bust, I need to get a Saturday routine - I think the bike may be making an appearance, but I need the car for that so I might have to toughen up and get up earlier to avoid the cars and get riding without the car!
Tag time! We missed it last week, so I was happy to play again this week. Mind you, I played terribly. I was never in the right spot, couldn't catch a ball and when I did I couldn't throw it. My tagging wasn't too bad when I was in the right spot.
Photo by @chrismiller27 he doesnt mind that I stole it, I am sure.
Are you doing the Holiday Sweat Challenge?
Last week I would have earnt 37.8 points. This week it was 39.03. If I can crack that Saturday workout situation then I should be gold for my 50 point weeks! I also need to confirm the points. I am going for 1 point for 3 miles for bike riding and 1 point for 10 minutes for boxing and Oztag, not sure if that is right.
