I wore my new Kids Cancer Project jersey and loved it, those pockets are super handy! I am glad I also have my spring cycle one heading out to me.
Have to say though, the other valuable part was the sticky glue stuff (like in a strapless bra) on the bottom hem of the top, that thing didn't ride up or slide around or move at all! It was super comfortable.
Controversy surrounds zipper up or zipper down though - I went half half to be safe. I still have the visor on my helmet though.. Whatever.
I headed out for another training ride for Spring Cycle, which is coming up on Sunday 19th October. It is a 55km ride that Liz and I are doing together. I had a great ride last year - read my report from Spring Cycle 2013 - and I'm looking forward to having a riding buddy this year. Sundays ride was 30km for me. Wasn't too hard to clock up the kms when you ride around Centennial. That is my longest ride outside of Spring cycle. It was fun, but I have no idea how people go for 100km or something! Crazy.
Anyways, the ride was relatively in eventful. My gears were making some weird noises in one set of gears - 2/1, if that is even how you write it? Anyway, my chain then ended up coming out around the 26km mark. Lucky that isn't too tricky to get back on, it had only fallen off on my "big" gears... Not those pesky little ones!
I have another training ride scheduled for Thursday with Liz before we ride to Homebush!
