What were your workouts? Do you do a weekly recap? Does it help keep you on track like it does for me?
Weekly workouts – walking time!
Workouts, Workouts, Workouts. My goodness, this week saw some mammoth workouts but also some lazy days! So it was mini-break time last week, my Husband and I headed up to the Gold Coast, via Yamba to relax and spend some time together before he starts a new job next week.
Monday was our drive from Yamba to Broadbeach day, so I headed down to the Apartment complex gym in the evening to hit some strength work!
You might remember that my Husband is doing the Sydney Oxfam event – 100km bushwalk in around 24 hours! That means no longer do we have leisurely beach walks. We are now have 21km training walks. I don’t mind though, walking isn’t too tough. Although the “lets do a 1km time trial!” at the 15km mark was not well received. My 5’32″/km wasn’t too bad though.
Time for a leisurely beach walk on Wednesday, didn’t quite end up that way. All that sand walking had me with a decent sized blister on my foot. Although we did get out there and get the #olive5k hashtag some exposure.
That nasty blister meant I headed down to the gym for a workout on our last day away instead of heading out for a run with Marcus. We didn’t have too much time to get a workout in as we were driving back to Sydney (11hrs). I do think I have managed to get my Polar working again!
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Friday and Saturday were dominated with work unfortunately and so was Sunday but I was able to get out in the afternoon and play some awesome Oztag. I did forget to take a picture so here is a repeat from a few weeks ago, although it was a little sunnier this week.
