This week marks my half-way point on this trip to Seoul and it is getting tougher to stay motivated. However, I think routine is helping where motivation is lacking! My workouts this week have been following the same basic structure:
- 15 minute warm up
- 30 minutes (roughly) of strength training
- 5 minutes of core 3 sets of 30:10 intervals of 2 different exercises.
- 10 minutes of cardio intervals (this I don't always do, but I should be!)
Every workout is in the hotel gym, which is really well equipped which is nice considering how long I am here for!
Up not so early to hit the gym and ended up running out of time to get my intervals in. I am liking having a routine. I know I need to get up 15 minutes earlier for the rest of the week to make sure I have enough time!
Full on session, I was in the gym at 6:15 and it was packed but everyone was on the cardio equipment so I had no worries getting my workout in. This surprisingly was the exact same workout as Sunday but 10 minutes shorter (less fluffing about) and 100 calories lower! I wonder if it was morning vs afternoon? I was tired on Sunday afternoon, who knows!
Oh boy, I am tired and my face is beginning to show it. Working long hours and not sleeping very well in the hotel seems to be taking its toll. Hopefully the workouts will help me sleep!
Swim time, I only did 20 minutes of laps, it got real boring in this short pool! It was nice to be in the water though, I miss being at home so this made me feel a little better!
After not feeling s great on Friday night I ended up sleeping like a log and waking up with a terrible Lurgy... I had a day of interval shopping and watched a movie, so lets go ahead and call this a rest day.
Lurgy improved after a good nights rest and plenty of water and I had a bit day of exploring on my hands. Managed to cover 12km walking around town for some good active recovery before another big week at work!
