My usual trainer was busy on my only day in Sydney, so I booked in with another one of the trainers but he ended up being sick so I was able to get in a great session with Philippa, another trainer who I hadn't previously met. It was a series of 3 workouts of 6 minutes each. There were 3 different exercises in each workout with a minute rest in between. It was a good simple format that I may need to use in future, particularly for hotel workouts!
Down in Melbourne for work, so managed to get in a somewhat low intensity cardio workout in the afternoon. It was 42 degrees C (112F) in Melbourne today so an outside workout was completely out of the question, I headed off to the gym. Apparently the gym air conditioning is not ideal and so I was sweating up an absolute storm even just hitting up the treadmill and cross-trainer.
Out to the tennis after work meant no workout today per say but almost 20,000 steps around the Australian Open counts as a walk in my book, particularly given the weather - 38F (106F)
Another rest day for doing anything in 44 degree (118F) heat was impossible. I did manage to finish this giant daquiri though - that was tough work.
Was aing to get up early but that daquiri was stronger than I thought and I slept and slept. Flew back from Melbourne today so didn't manage to get an afternoon workout in either. My midweek workouts this week were pretty terrible.
Quick walk today. Nothing too strenuous, but a good start to Saturday morning.
Morning session down at the sand hills, it wasn't as tough as it had previously been. I woke up with a sore throat and was planning on just slowly walking around the hills, but I ended up doing a pretty good session.
