I thought we wouldn't spend much time in Disneyland, we ended up buying a 3 day park-hopper park so that we would be able to jump between the two parks. We thought we would get just a few pictures with Mickey and Minnie and then head across for the "real" rides over in California Adventure. It was so different. There were plenty of rides we could go on and so many things that we had remembered from our childhood visits to Disneyland that we ended up being at the park until well after dark and boy did we sleep well that night.
Of course we had to go to the Castle - I remember this being a whole lot bigger as a kid!
Managed to grab a quick photo with Pluto as he was leaving, I look way too happy in this picture! I do love Pluto though, he is so fun.
As a child, I absolutely loved the teacups. I went on them with my Dad and it is one of the few vivid memories that I have as a kid. So of course we were on them when the lines freed up in the afternoon.
Later that night we had the parade, it was full on, there was so much going on with the floats and the music. It was really fun! Although it has been a few years since we were into cartoons so we didnt actually know most of the characters, but this guy was a familiar face.
While we were in Anaheim we stayed at the Hilton hotel and it made for an easy walk back to the hotel in the evening and a nice walk up in the morning. Keep in mind though there were not a lot of meal options around if you didn't go to the park, we ended up walking for a very long way one evening to get to a little mexican place (which was amazing) but tiring and scary a little (its so hard to tell if you are in a bad neighbourhood when one house has 3 old TVs on the front lawn and the next one has a brand new BMW parked in the driveway.
