We were up bright and early on our 5th day of our holiday to head on an early flight to Boston so that we could make the Red Sox afternoon game at Fenway. This has been on Marcus's must do list for many many years and he had a permanent grin on his face when we were walking to the game. We were typical tourists and bought new hats and shirts at the store before we went into the game, it is so expensive to ship Red Sox merchandise to Australia so we were making the most of being at the source.
It was awesome to see Big Papi playing at Fenway!
Unfortunately they lost that first game against Detroit and it was a bit of a dampner as everyone started leaving around the 7th inning. That night we headed out to an Irish pub for dinner just down from Fenway.
The next day was our 2nd wedding anniversary, in the morning we spent the day walking around Boston, so I will leave that to another post to cover. To celebrate our wedding anniversary of course another Red Sox game was on the cards. This time it was a night game and we had much better seats thanks to one of my internet friends, Kate. We had such a great night and we even got a Fenway Frank for dinner!
Even though we were wearing matching outfits, it was still awesome to see the Red Sox at Fenway, especially in the year that they won the World Series! We were definitely watching from Sydney with added excitement.
