Wasn't feeling the best today, I did manage a little walk up to the shops but that doesn't count. So we will consider this rest day for the week.
Evening - Back to Run Club and holy moly was it a fast one, I think this was one of the fastest runs I have done in a while which was a good effort. I was struggling, especially with the sprint sessions at the end, but I ended strong and managed to sneak under the 6:30/km which was exciting for me!
AM - Very early morning strength session with my trainer. She absolutely smashed my arms, but I did manage to get a few full tricep push ups in (on my knees but I am terrible at these things). It was a nice early morning workout to be done and dusted by 7am.
Ride to work day! So much fun to be back riding to work, although I did only go one way because the evening was a ridiculously hot day of 37 degrees C (104F)! So onto the train to get home! Although I did try out the cycling feature on my Garmin which was pretty cool. It also got me thinking about how long it is going to take me to ride 50km and I think the answer is - a bloody long time! I do have to factor in here that this is a pretty hilly route and I also stop quite a bit for traffic lights and crossing roads etc but still, I think 4-5 hours is going to be about the time. Then I will crash out for the afternoon I guess?
I don't have the pause when stopped feature activated, although when I am stopped it is usually at lights so can be 1-2 minutes so I think next time I will have to activate it.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday
I think I must be fighting something off because I have been exhausted. I ended up resting all weekend. I didn't even go to oztag on Sunday, which was quite disappointing. I slept a lot on the weekend too so that hopefully will help me bounce back well! Although I did have 12 hours sleep on Friday night, 10 hours on Saturday and a 3 hour nap on Sunday then 9 hours sleep. So I think that is pretty extensive sleeping it off.
