So that left hotel workouts to stay out of the heat (and hotel room as almost all of the hotels had a fee to use their gym). We kept initially to a pretty low impact daily workout of 30 sit ups and 30 push-ups as suggested by my brother in law. That was before I saw the 100's workout - 100 push-ups, 100 squats and 100 sit-ups that I saw over at Blonde Ponytail. I ended up trying a few with rows in the middle, but generally tried to do most of it each day.
Walking for 8-9 hours a day meant that we collapsed in a heap most nights. Every night we would say to each other - we need to take it a bit easier tomorrow! Then spend even longer walking and exploring, there was just so much to see. Another issue we had was we were so busy looking at things that we would forget to eat and realise we were starving around 3pm and I particularly would hit a wall and I just wanted to sit down. Definitely have my walking legs now.
How do you stay active on holidays?
