Speaking of new workout gear, what is on my wishlist at the moment? BRIGHT colours, anything bright. I am absolutely loving this trend. Not only is it awesome, but it is safe! Since joining my Run Club, I have become very aware of how invisible runners are in a dark top and dark pants so I am really trying to make sure I only buy light coloured clothing (particularly on top). It is also still quite cool in the mornings, so here are my winter warmers that I would love to pick up sooner rather than later:
Then there is the super nerdy thing that I also really want to get. A headlamp. I run without my glasses on, which is usually find during the day because I can safely see about 2 metres in front of me. At night though it makes it about half a metre and that is usually not enough time for me to react. I have tripped over a few tree roots, gutters and plastic bags already. Thankfully I have managed to remain upright but I don't think that will last too long. So, a headlamp ends up on my list!
So where do you buy all this stuff from? These days it is definitely not from the traditional stores, usually because it takes too long and because in Australia it is just too darned expensive. So, online stores come in!
ActivInstinct - Based out of the UK, they offer free delivery over $100. They have an amazing range, including Nike which is one that I can rarely find at a good price so this is invaluable to have available and I love these Nike Short sleeve and long sleeve tops for running:
Wiggle - Also based out of the UK but with an Australian based website, this has been a staple shop for Australians looking for sporting gear for some time. I have personally bought quite a few things on here, although it can be a little hit and miss if you are looking for something specific.
Rugby Store - this is one my husband loves quite a bit, as he enjoys training in rugby shorts and wearing rugby socks around the house in winter. This shop also has a great range of compression wear, however they still charge for shipping no matter how much you order which is a bit of a downside.
Cell Bikes - this store is specific to bike equipment but there is a quick shipment advantage to it being based in Australia! The prices are competitive and they have a consistent range, although they are sometimes out of stock for months for some things.
Eastbay - this is owned by Footlocker in the US and they will eventually combine but in the meantime we can take advantage of the fact that Eastbay will ship to Australia when Footlocker won't. I love to grab my shoes from here, I am really looking forward to purchasing a pair of the New Balance Pure Flow 2!
Have I missed your favourite store? Where is your go-to shop for online bargains?
