Now how many times have you been to a hotel that has advertised a Fitness Centre and then when you get there they have a treadmill, a stationary bike and a fitball. Usually the bike won't work and the fitball is flat.
Last night I did a quick hotel workout prescribed by my Husband. I also took my new shirt our for a spin, this photo doesnt do it justice, it is really bright orange (and really awesome).
The workout was a cross-fit inspired circuit workout, you could replace the 500m run with a 300m row or 1km cycle depending on the cardio equipment available, but you can do this outside if it is still light!
21 diamond foot sit ups
15 diamond foot sit ups
9 diamond foot sit ups
2 minute rest
21 plyometric lunges (each side)
15 plyometric lunges (each side)
9 plyometric lunges (each side)
For each run I tried to better my time, I started at 3:05, then 3:00, 2:57, 2:55, 2:49 and finally 2:45. I think on the treadmill I found it easier to go faster than I ordinarily would because I needed to keep up with the belt! 400 calories and 36 minutes later, I was pooped. I managed to hit a new personal best with my max heart rate 228! Either I was genuinely absolutely gassing myself, or something was wrong with the sensor. I was absolutely shattered after that last run though.
