A little mix-up

Tried a little something different in the kitchen this week, after throwing out yet another apple that had gone south after being in too close contact with Mr Banana or Mr Lemon or something or other.

This was our previous fruit bowl that sat in the only shady corner of our kitchen, as it sits I didn't even bother to try and make it look "pretty" - onions, apples, bag of pistachio's and all.

 

New approach, is putting that tiered plate to good use, we can always find the garlic and the fruit isnt touching and there is plenty of air circulating around all of it. Could not believe how simple this was and how I had never thought of it before. I actually saw this arrangement at a friends house in Melbourne while I was visiting before Christmas and I am now officially a convert.

 

 

Hopefully this works out a little better than the bowl and the bowl can get back to holding the salads that it so often gets emptied out to hold.
