Regardless, it was definitely Christmas - there was family, laughter, bon bons and plenty of food!
There was also some blocked drains and M and his Dad headed out to clear the leaves so the front garden didn't disappear, while the family looked on from the safety of inside.
The table settings were beautiful if I do say so myself, even if my chief (and perhaps only) job was to ensure the table settings. My Mother in Law has started a new tradition - if you call it a tradition the first time you do it, is it still a tradition? Anyway, now under each setting there was a scratchy! Kind of to replace the coins in the Christmas pudding, we did well but no one won more than $10 so I think NSW Lotteries won out in the end.
I managed to snap a few festive shots - one of Mr Olive and his Mum (he changed shirts after getting soaked fixing the drain, lucky his little brother bought him t-shirts for Christmas).
Of course, Mr Olive and I in front of the tree!
Hope you all had a wonderful festive season! It isn't over just yet though!

My MIL has a similar tradition, except she puts several strach-offs in everyone's stockings and we have a contest to see who wins the most. And I love your tablescape! The confetti is just so pretty.
