I was recently on facebook a few months ago and saw a simple status:
Sock sock shoe shoe OR sock shoe sock shoe? Discuss.
I never realised how devoutly sock shoe sock shoe I am until I had seen it written and really thought about it. It then led to a discussion with my girlfriends, who had some interesting insights. Many of them were sock sock shoe shoe devotees, mainly due to the fact that they find their socks, put them on, then go in search of their shoes.
This is another one of my spending time traveling and thinking too much about the human psyche posts me thinks. We all know what happens when I travel alone.
However, shortly after this discussion my friend sent me a text - "bet you make your spaghetti pasta sauce pasta sauce" and she was completely right! I am trying to think of all the things that I do like this, but the possibilities are endless. I planted some herbs in our garden and I found myself digging hole, inserting plant, watering before I moved onto the next!
Although there are then a lot of things I do differently where I like to think that I multitask - painting my nails, I do all of the base coat, then the colour, then the top coat. I dont individually complete each nail before moving onto the next. That is simply a time-management situation though?
What do you do? Sock sock shoe shoe or sock shoe sock shoe?

You know....I never really thought about it. But I'm definitely a sock sock shoe shoe gal. :)

ReplyDeleteFor me it totally depends, if I have my socks and shoes right there together, I will go sock shoe sock shoe, but if I don't have shoes handy, it's socks first.
ReplyDeleteAlthough come to think of it, I don't wear socks very often. Usually it's heels or flip flops. Shoe shoe is the easiest solution!
I've never thought about this before, but I think I do sock sock shoe shoe. This is usually because the shoes are by the door and I get dressed in my room.
ReplyDeleteSock sock shoe shoe! Mostly because as others have said, socks are in my room whereas shoes are by the door. Though even if I bring my socks downstairs, I still put them on first and then shoes. Also this weekend I planted some things in our garden and I definitely dug all the holes, then planted, then watered everything. :D

ReplyDeleteAlways sock sock shoe shoe! Seems so odd to me that anyone would do it any other way, how funny!!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear shoes in the house (I've never understood that, let your feet be free!) so it is always 'sock sock' and 'shoe shoe' comes just before I go out the door. It's too cold a lot of the year to walk around the house in bare feet, so socks are a must. :)
