I used this recipe from Taste to make this delicious carrot and beef ragout. I have to say, when I thought of slow cooking, I was thinking more along the lines of throw a bunch of stuff in the slow cooker, switch it on and come back 8 hours later to a delicious meal. That was not the case with this little dinner.
We used our great new potato ricer to get some super fine mashed potato to serve with the dish.
Delicious, although not quite what I was imagining from a slow cooked meal in terms of workload. The meat was so amazingly tender and the flavours were so well intwined.
