I have always been a fan of planning ahead - I may or may not have finished my Christmas shopping in November, I am usually packed for a trip at least a week in advance and I am already thinking of what to buy Mr Olive for our first anniversary present...in September.
So, every night before I go to bed I lay out my clothes for the next day; underwear, shoes and accessories included. When I saw Morgan's multitudes of posts on planning her wardrobe I knew I had to get on board with this!
So, this weekend I made sure that I had a clear working space, all my clothes were available and I got started using Morgan's tips of starting with your favourite pieces and working around them. I have a pair of black pants that fit well, have a snazzy little belt and are incredibly comfy, they were the first ones in! Then I grabbed out a few things that I actually hadn't worn in a while. I threw in some matching shoes and just like that I was done!
This week was a little easier, I worked from home one of the days, so I didnt worry about laying out a pair of shorts and a t-shirt so just the 4 outfits for me. The time saving in the morning was excellent! I knew what I was wearing, so I grabbed it out and popped it in the bathroom when I got up and I was dressed before the mister was even out of bed!
My Sunday evenings will now include 10-15 minutes of wardrobe planning. I am definitely a convert! Although next week I will be incorporating a little more colour I think!
