So, im starting to cross off a few items on my 30 before 30 list now that I have (hopefully) finished my masters degree - final results out on the 1st December in case you are wondering.
1 month without Diet Coke
A full 20 days ago. I feel like I am an alcoholic or something remembering the last drink. Im not going to lie, it was tough for the first few days I had a cracking headache for 2 days straight making me incredibly irritable. I am now fully in the water or juice camp and the occasional Sprite or Solo if required. I have also discovered my long lost love for a nice lemon, lime and bitters on a sunny afternoon.
Only once since those initial days have I really felt like a nice cold glass of the brown liquid, that was last weekend after a rather big day enjoying one too many champagne's for my dear friend M's wedding:
The next day, I was feeling a little worse for wear and the orange juice really wasnt doing it for me. However, I know its not good for me and I need to stop having my 600mL Diet Coke every day, but I think after the month is over I might need to keep it as my hangover cure because goodness knows I have likely done enough damage with the alcohol anyway!
